wherein you will find ramblings about fiber dyeing, spinning, knitting,... and photos (sometimes), family and friend updates, rants when i need to, lack of upper case letters, weird punctuation and freedom of expression (especially mine)! To answer the question of where did it come from... this "twisted mom/twisted sandy" thing. ...during the 90's a group of my spinning students became spinning friends, which morphed into Twisted Sisters, which evolved into calling me the Twisted Mom.

signs of spring
I might see this as a sign that spring is here.... if i hadn't become a cynical old crone. well, maybe it's not cynical to know that we still have lots of soggy and cold days ahead before spring is really here! but what's blooming is glorious... til the rain and slugs get 'em.
Lovely! especially the pristine-ness of the white with yellow center. But then pristine never lasts long (which is why I could never wear white jeans back in the day-ha!) for us, it was 70 yesterday, snow now, and 20's tonight, there go the lilac blooms, and they never even got to finish opening..
thanks! and i do know what you mean about wearing white... maybe that's why we really appreciate white in flowers, huh? my friend in Sewanee, TN gathered armloads of lilacs to take inside before the snow got 'em. hope some of your survived the snow!!
