here's the best use i've found for punkins! clean it out and stuff with a mixture of cooked rice, sauteed onion, celery, garlic, seasonings, dried fruits (craisins, apple, pear, etc) chopped nuts, apply EVOO to the outside and bake about an hour at 350 or til the punkin shell is cooked. cut into wedges and.... mmmmmm!!

Didn't have nor could I get a pumpkin so used a largest acorn squash. Will be doing this again. Closest store selling pumpkins 3 hour (each way) drive.
