wherein you will find ramblings about fiber dyeing, spinning, knitting,... and photos (sometimes), family and friend updates, rants when i need to, lack of upper case letters, weird punctuation and freedom of expression (especially mine)! To answer the question of where did it come from... this "twisted mom/twisted sandy" thing. ...during the 90's a group of my spinning students became spinning friends, which morphed into Twisted Sisters, which evolved into calling me the Twisted Mom.

in the garden
the ladybugs may have flown away (home?), but there's a preying mantis prowling the garden! looks like she's headed for that tiny white worm on the leaf in front of her!
she casts a frightening shadow.... at least i'd be pretty scared if i were a bug!
the first bloomin' sunflower of the year.
the nursery lady said this is an amaranth. it looks like something from Dr. Seuss to me. it's too shiny and neon for my camera to capture well.
