the ladybugs may have flown away (home?), but there's a preying mantis prowling the garden! looks like she's headed for that tiny white worm on the leaf in front of her!the first bloomin' sunflower of the year.

To answer the question of where did it come from... this "twisted mom/twisted sandy" thing. ...during the 90's a group of my spinning students became spinning friends, which morphed into Twisted Sisters, which evolved into calling me the Twisted Mom.

purty sunflower and scary bug. you woulda loved the red amaranth in New England. It was 8 feet tall.
